Linoleum: Linoleum, is a generic term used to describe most floor covering materials including the synthetics. Then a sheet of paper is laid over the inked linoleum and the design printed either by hand or using a press. The gouged areas are recessed while the uncut areas are raised. The raised areas of the linoleum are inked with a brayer. A design is cut into the linoleum using a variety of gouging tools. Linoleum is used in the creation of relief prints, the oldest form of printmaking. In case of eye contact, rinse the eyes with water for at least 15-20 minutes and contact a physician.
